The club members meet regularly every first Monday in a month. The club meeting is prepared by the club board and lasts from 18 to 21. It covers three parts: work, education and social activities.

The personal efforts of the members drive projects and activities enabling the club to meet the goals of soroptimism.

A part of the activities is initiated by European federation, a great deal of ideas come from the individual members.

The Soroptimist International Club Brno I (SI Club I) was founded on September 21st, 1991. The club was set up thanks to personal contacts with and a great support from the Austrian club Wels (www.Wels.SI-Club.at).

The first president, who took over the letters of credence from the representative of the European federation Gisela Freudenberg, was Maria Holíková.
